Full Moon Release and Let Go Ritual

The Full Moon phase, exposes the depths of your unconscious, inviting the release of all that has been accumulated. As the seeds planted during the initiating phase of the New Moon come to life. This lunar phase offers you clarity and a chance to celebrate your achievements while also providing an opportunity to transform areas where disappointment may reside. With the opposing Sun's bright lights illuminating the stage, the spotlight now turns towards how you can meet your emotional needs and find fulfillment. Surrender, integration, and fulfillment are within your grasp, as you navigate the majestic realm of the cosmos. Embrace the cycles and seasons of your life with purpose, clarity, and confidence, for the world is your oyster, and you hold the power to ebb and flow with grace and intention.

Use this Full Moon ritual to release and let go as you take a moment to envision the transformative changes you want to make so that you align your life with your soul's true calling.

Embrace the energy of the Zodiac Sign embodied by the Full Moon to guide you towards a purposeful and aligned life, as you let go of what is no longer serving your highest purpose!

Here's how I like to incorporate this ritual each month:

  • Create Your Sacred Space: Light a candle and burn sage or incense to create an ambient space for your ritual that is calming and clearing.

  • Use a journal: Sit in quiet contemplation and allow your breathe to calm your body. When you are ready begin writing down what you are ready to release, using this time to label the limiting beliefs, old patterns, or overwhelming emotions that you are letting go. Acknowledge their presence and the impact they have had on your life as you allow yourelf to gain the learning from the awareness.

  • Safe burning or shredding: Once you have poured your thoughts onto the paper, choose a safe method to release them. One option is to burn the paper carefully in a fireproof container, symbolizing the transformation of these negative energies into ash. Alternatively, you can shred the paper, representing the breaking apart and dissolution of these patterns. Set the intention to let go and visualise them being consumed by the flames or disintegrating as you shred the paper. As you witness their physical transformation, affirm your readiness to embrace new possibilities and invite positive energies into your life.

  • Surrender and gratitude: After the release, take a moment to surrender the need to hold onto these patterns, thoughts and all that you have released. Express gratitude for the lessons they have taught you and the growth they have facilitated. By releasing them, you make space for new perspectives and experiences. You can meditate on the clearing out and lightness you feel, inviting in new possibilities and opportunities to be invited into your life.

  • Water Cleanse: Once you have completed your release, purify your energy and symbolically wash away any residual negativity. You can take a bath or immerse yourself in the ocean to cleanse away the residue of the past and embrace a sense of renewal, presence and purpose. For a bath ritual, you can infuse it with essential oils, such as lavender or eucalyptus, known for their cleansing and purifying properties. As you soak in the water, visualize any lingering negative energy or emotions being washed away. Feel the water enveloping you, cleansing your body, mind, and spirit. Allow yourself to release any remnants of the past, making space for new beginnings and fresh intentions. As you immerse yourself in the water, you can repeat positive affirmations such as, "I release the past and step into my future with renewed energy and purpose" or "I am cleansed, rejuvenated, and ready to embrace new beginnings."
